Terms & Conditions

Please read through the following carefully - by visiting our web-site and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions.

2 Cancellation

2.1 You may cancel your order for any reason whatsoever at anytime up to 7 working days from the day after you receive your AcneStar provided that the AcneStar has not been used and is still in its original packaging and you pay the cost of return

2.2 In order to cancel you must fax us on 01873 851566, notify us by email to info@acnestar.co.uk or in writing to Dermastar Ltd, 23 Frogmore Street, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, NP7 5AH

2.3 We shall reimburse you the price of the AcneStar within 30 days from the date you notify us of the cancellation. It is your responsibility to hold onto the AcneStar and take reasonable care of it until you return it to us.

3 Use of AcneStar

AcneStar must be used in accordance with its intended purpose and in compliance with the user guide and limitations (shown below) and Dermastar Ltd to the fullest extent permitted by law shall have no liability for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with use in contravention of this clause 5.

4 Do not use AcneStar in the following situations:

* Very light sensitive skin i.e. a condition called polmorphic light eruption. This effects approximately 1 in 500 people and presents as a 'prickly heat' type rash with associated itching of the skin, after exposure to too much light.

* Vitiligo, or loss of skin pigmentation.

* High blood pressure.

* Feverish conditions.

* Do not use to treat the lower abdomen during pregnancy.

* Do not treat the genitalia.

* If you are taking oral antibiotics to control your acne do not stop taking them immediately. Wait until your skin begins to clear and reduce the dose gradually under the direction of your doctor.

* Do not use AcneStar if you are taking oral retinoids, such as Accutane.

* Keep AcneStar away from children.

* AcneStar must be kept out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.

* As with all electrical goods, AcneStar must not be immersed in water.

* Not to be used in humid environments such as bathrooms.

* If you experience any adverse effects whilst using AcneStar, stop the treatment straight away and consult your doctor.

* IF you experience any adverse effects whilst using AcneStar, stop the treatment immediately and consult your doctor.

* It is advisable that you DO NOT share your AcneStar with anyone else. The use of AcneStar involves contact with the skin that may transfer bacteria if shared.

* If you are epileptic, please consult your doctor before using AcneStar

* DO NOT look at the blue light directly.

* Parental guidance required if used by persons under 14 years.

* Keep out of reach of very young children

5 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law and the parties hereby irrevocably agree to submit themselves to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
